Art Collector's House

Conversion of two flats into house, including complete refurbishment

The client brief was to design a light and spacious house, containing two large interconnected living and entertaining areas for the family.
We designed a large open plan living space in the lower ground floor consisting of the main kitchen, leading to the large dining and media area opening up to the rear garden.
The project plays with different level changes on each floor, to create areas of privacy within the open space, while at the same time maintaining a continuous flow throughout by using dark timber flooring. This acts as the main connection between all floors and throughout the cantilevered staircase.
