Complete refurbishment of offices in central London.

As the client was dealing with fabrics one of the most important elements of the design for this lower ground floor office, apart from efficient space-planning, was the choice of artificial lighting in order to imitate daylight conditions, for accurate colour rendering of the textiles.

The head of the design studio had his office at the rear and wanted a viewing window so that he could see and be seen from the design studio next door. The office is also connected to the client’s residence via a timber-clad staircase. This arrangement required a detailed solution in terms of fire separation.
