River House

Extension to existing house, Petersham, London.

For private clients this design was developed on the site of an existing 1970:s extension. The new extension turned the kitchen/dining wing towards the expansive garden, playing with the traditional roof-shape for maximum light and space. By changing the position of the existing entrance, a new study space was created breitling replique and the new wing was connected to the original house by generous openings fitted with sliding doors for additional occasional privacy . The resulting spaces were differentiated by subtle differences in floor level, as well as the internal ceiling spaces resulting from the roof-shape.
